Renting a car2go vehicle begins by checking a vehicle’s availability. A special card reader is installed on the windshield of every car2go. A signal on the card reader displays whether the vehicle is available or reserved. Green means the vehicle is available for rental. If the vehicle is not available, a red signal and corresponding message will appear. If the vehicle is available, unlock it by simply holding your Member Card up to the card reader on the windshield.

When the door opens, your rental begins. After getting into the car, you just need to enter your personal identification number (PIN), assess the cleanliness of the vehicle, and confirm that it is not damaged. All previously known damage is displayed on the monitor. The ignition key is located on the righthand side of the Touchscreen..
