At just $.35 per minute, members enjoy vehicle re-charging1, parking2, mileage3, insurance, maintenance, cleaning, GPS navigation, 24/7 customer support services, and roadside assistance at no extra cost4.
The more time you drive, the cheaper it gets. One hour costs a maximum of $12.99 plus tax, and one day (up to 24 hours) is no more than $65.99 plus tax.
There are no security deposits, monthly fees or charges to reserve a vehicle. Many of our members have discovered they can skip the hassles of car ownership or conventional car rental; all they need is a car2go membership.

Please note: You can drive as long and as far as you like, just be aware that every mi over 150 mi per rental will be charged at 45 cents per mi.
Important: car2go San Diego members are responsible for all processing costs related to damage for which they are responsible, such as extreme soiling of the car2go, driving offenses, and violations of the valid terms of use.
- Network card valid at any designated EV charging station. The cost of recharging at non-network locations will not be reimbursed.
- Allowance is 150 mi per day per rental.
- Base membership coverage includes the following limits: Liability of $100,000 Bodily injury per person / $300,000 Bodily injury per accident per accident and $50,000 Physical Damage per accident. Coverage for the car2go vehicle is provided with a deductible of $1000 per occurance.
- If cleaning beyond the normal scope is necessary or roadside assistance is required due to driver error, a fee may be apply.
