Registration is simple, fast, and easy using the Internet. In just a few minutes you can become a part of the car2go mobility movement.

There is a one time sign up fee of $35 which will only be charged when your membership is approved by car2go. If you have a valid promotion code you can enter it during registration.

You’ll need to enter your valid driver’s license information, a few personal details, and a valid Mastercard or Visa card number. When you register, you will create a unique password with an identity verification question. You will need to remember this information should you need to interact with our service center regarding your account.

Following your registration and approval by car2go you will receive your member card in the mail. We’ll also include some helpful tips so you’ll be ready to get in to a car and experience the City in style. Member cards usually arrive in the mail within 5 business days.

If you prefer to register in person, just come by the car2go San Diego shop located in the dynamic East Village of Downtown at 633 9th Street between Market and G St. We’re only a short walk from PETCO Park and the Park & Market Trolley Station. Be sure to bring your valid driver’s license and a valid Visa or MasterCard with you. Be advised that your member card will not be immediately issued “on the spot”. You will receive your member card within 5 business days.
